1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the RefKick application ("RefKick", "we", "us") handles data. RefKick is an on-device referee assistant available for iOS and watchOS. The watch app is the primary interface used to control live match actions, and the iPhone app acts as a companion for setup and read-only match summaries.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

RefKick is designed to minimize data collection. The app does NOT collect or transmit personal data to remote servers. Specifically:

• No analytics or crash reporting is sent to third-party services by default.
• No HealthKit data is accessed or stored.
• No networking or cloud sync is performed.

3. Local Data & Device-to-Device Sync

All match state (team names, scores, card counts, timer state) is stored in memory during a match. Optionally the app may persist settings locally (e.g., UserDefaults) for convenience. RefKick uses Watch Connectivity (WCSession) to synchronize match state between the Apple Watch and paired iPhone. This communication is:

• Device-to-device and peer-to-peer via the user’s paired devices.
• Not routed through external servers; it relies on Apple’s system frameworks for local transfer.

4. Purposes of Processing

Any local data processing is used solely to provide the app’s core functionality: match timing, scoring, card tracking, and displaying summaries on the iPhone.

5. Sharing & Third Parties

RefKick does not sell or share personal data with third parties. The app does not use third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or crash reporting.

6. Security

We follow reasonable practices to protect local data on the device. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Users are responsible for device-level security (passcode, encrypted backups, etc.).

7. Children

RefKick is not knowingly directed to children under 13. The app does not solicit or collect personal information from minors.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app. The effective date above will be updated. Significant changes will be noted in the release notes or via the app's update information.
